About the Event
Hosted annually at Ann Morrison Park, the event brings together locals and tourists alike who enjoy being surrounded by endless colorful balloons, inspiring music, and their favorite local radio stations.
The inaugural hot air balloon gathering in Ann Morrison Park took place in June 1991. Organized by Steve Schmader of the International Festivals and Events Association and event producer Scott Spencer, this spectacular event was part of the Boise River Festival. When the festival concluded, Kevin Godwin of Townsquare Media joined forces with Spencer to ensure the continuation of this beloved tradition. In 2010, the Boise River Festival Hot Air Balloon Rally was rebranded as the Spirit of Boise Balloon Rally.

Parking Info
Ann Morrison Park will be closed to thru traffic daily between 5:00 am and 10:00 am for the morning launches August 28th - September 1st. Parking inside the park is limited through the duration of the event (August 28th - September 1st) with NO PARKING on Friday August 30th.
